Crystal Syben Haidl, editor
and publisher, is a community project activist. She had
her first threesome when she was 37. Her story, "Sway
of The Ride" is included in
III, and she had a blast posing for the 13 photos in the
book (many of them on this website).
Other than having been a stripper in college
(before the days of lap-dancing), and enjoying her own sexuality,
her prior focus has been not on eroticism but on family,
civic activism, fair housing, and the arts.
Producing III made her aware of the and
threats to our sexual freedoms. As her house cleaning jobs
have helped finance the book, she believes that a "grass-roots"
passion and a "hands-and-knees, roll-up-your-sleeves"
humbleness is integral to affecting change.
