Crystal Syben Haidl, editor and publisher, is a community project activist. She had her first threesome when she was 37. Her story, "Sway of The Ride" is included in III, and she had a blast posing for the 13 photos in the book (many of them on this website).

Other than having been a stripper in college (before the days of lap-dancing), and enjoying her own sexuality, her prior focus has been not on eroticism but on family, civic activism, fair housing, and the arts.

Producing III made her aware of the threats to our sexual freedoms. As her house cleaning jobs have helped finance the book, she believes that a "grass-roots" passion and a "hands-and-knees, roll-up-your-sleeves" humbleness is integral to affecting change.

"It's not just the emperor who wears no clothes. Our parents didn't, and neither do we. We'd all be happier and more accepting if we could share our sexual feelings more easily, rather than trying to conceal them behind pretend airs. There's a very real message in Make Love - Not War for each of us, as well as for our world."
