That Sexual Feeling
|
| |
| The idea for
UnConventional Books started |
| with Crystal
Syben Haidl's foray into comparing her |
| own sexual
experiences with that of other people. |
| III(THREE):
The Fantasy and Experience of |
| Threesome
Sex is self-published
because niche-based |
| erotic publishing houses wanted a book
with less images |
|
| and less mainstream focus, and mainstream
publishers |
| just thought threesomes were not mainstream
at all. |
| Yet, in the radio
shows that Crystal has had the priviledge |
| to be on, every single one that had
call-ins,
had their lines |
| filled with listeners who wanted to
share their sexual |
| fantasies and experiences. With humour
and shyness |
| and loads of questions, there is a
deep underlying yearning |
| for people to connect on a very human
level about their |
| sexual feelings -- "one to one",
or "one to three", or to an |
| entire radio audience. It's being the
sensual, sexual beings |
| that we're born to be. |
| |
| Your Oral Participation
Wanted |
| Crystal invites everyone who sees sexuality
as meaningful |
| to support sexual freedom, and sexual
freedom of speech |
| and commerce. Contributing directly
to UnConventional |
| Books' mission through your orders,
your submitted stories |
| and images, and additional financial
support and networking |
| is important for us to continue publication. |
| |
| But your active support
of sexual freedoms whenever you |
| encounter the topic, in private conversation,
talk-radio, |
| or in the news, is essential to keeping
the dialogue- |
| the intercourse - |
| (yes the oral, anal , fetish and fantasy,
too) of sexuality |
| open and vital to our everyday experience. |
| |
|
| Why Donate when Sex Sells
Itself? |

Spring 2000.

| Because of the delays with PayPal's
ban on |
| our book, finding an affordable e-commerce
network that |
| accepted sexual content, and holds from
our internal lawsuit, |
| over 400 copies of III stayed in storage
for the past two |
| years. Instead of gaining revenue, so
that we could print |
| our intended 4000 copy distributed edition
of III , |
| our debt on our Advance Collector's
Edition just sat there.. |
| |
| Selling the remaining 400 copies will
help offset much of our |
| Debt, but not all, and not enough to
help print a new edition. |
| Your donations to UnConventional books
will go directly |
| to pay our 60 contributors, and give
us a good start toward |
| our next printings. |
| |
| Crystal will
give you e-mail updates of our progress, a personal
|
| phone call
of thanks ... and air kisses wherever you'd like to |
| image landing on you... Thanks for your
additional donation. |

- Operation Phone Sex

Press

Internet Sex Restrictions
- Our to-be-announced auction
of the last 100 copies ever
to be made for this Collector's Edition.
- And
the "Clean House" grand prize--
(a prize even your mom would like)
If all copies are sold by June 1, 2006 ... well, now that it's September ...
(Should Crystal extend this deadline? crystal@threesomebook.com)
Crystal
will go to
one randomly drawn lucky winner's house of their
choosing (US only), clean for 3 hours, treat him/her
to some
lunch and talk about the book, sex and life.
Crystal funded III in large through her housecleaning
services. She also believes that cleaning and other
labor
keeps one humble and helps put life in perspective.
(and she likes being on her hands and knees)

| From Intl Threesome Observance Day to Hustler ... March thru Sept '06 |
Giving this edition of III a radio good bye.
We did 8 radio appearances around 3/3/06 International Threesome Observance Day, including
XM(UPop), Sirius (Maxim Radio), and Crystal’s first political (Alan Nathan) and country music
shows (Wes and April). Check back to see what intriguing radio our Hustler article brings,
as we give final good byes to the last remaining copies of III. |
| |
| From January 2004-March
2006 |
| Viva Las Vegas, part I - good bye |
Before III was completely halted
in 2004 - Crystal's last radio show
(after PayPal banned us and before our internal lawsuit)
was at Internext
2004, the adult industry's Webmaster show in Las Vegas.
With sexy
people all over the convention floor, Crystal (tastefully)
instigated her own
brand of sexual color on Dr.
Smut's Live Internet Show,
painting herself
and Dr. Smut, too. |
| |
| Viva Las Vegas, part II - hello again |
|
So, it was tantric karma that
2 1/2 years later, post-legal settlement, it was in
Las Vegas that Crystal first dipped her tongue into
FCC tightened radio air. While house and dog-sitting
for a friend, Crystal got three Sin City stations.
Two were Internet, a very sexualized "show and
tell all" non-regulated talk with a seductive
hostess Sassy of Sex
with Sassy and a few days
later a very educational conversation with Coffee
with Caryll's hostess of the same name. (Compare the
two shows.) Then Crystal met the courtly Ken of Spike
1140's Radio for Men, The
Big Johnson Show, with callers
rushing on the phone lines to talk about their threesomes.
Who says sex is dead on radio? Or at least what happens
in Vegas should be bragged about. |

there a radio show you'd like to hear us on? |

| June
through October 2003: |
| In June, Crystal
appeared on the syndicated Mark
and Brian Morning Show in Los Angeles,
and two Philly shows---The
Barsky Show on 'The Point' (the first
show Crystal remembered to ask for an air-check. Listen-in.)
and the Philly Guys on WMMR. She also did a short phone interview
about our advance sales promotions on Tampa's syndicated Bubba
Love Sponge. In July, Mauler
and Rush from 101.1 XFM Ottawa even
put us on their web site. Listen to a clip from the show. |

| About
Our Radio Appearances |
| III's editor and publisher, Crystal Syben
Haidl, got to enjoy her first radio Threesome in the Spring
of 2002 : first a wild evening with Atlantic
City's "DC Show," ...
then in the middle of the afternoon on Toronto's
"Sex City" (ahhhh, nothing
like a Canadian nooner!) ... and of course what's a day without
a rousing wakeup with Baltimore's
Kirk, Mark and Lopez Morning Show?" |
| |
Serious sex talk or fun teasing, it's been
addicting! |
| |
| Radio Listeners have certainly not been
shy about responding either. Thanks to WJSE,
WIYY and most especially Angelo
and crew at WIP Sports Talk,
we found seven of our models for our final two shoots from radio
listeners. (See
Photography by Jason Laub, Justin Mongroo
and Nicole DeGeorge.) |
| |
| Fans from our first syndicated
appearances "Bob & Tom"
and "Don
& Mike" pre-ordered their
copies and submitted their personal quotes that printed in the
1000 copy Collector's Edition (want to include your sexy phrases
for the next printing?). And a
whopping 27,000 listeners responded to
one radio show's unofficial threesome survey. Many other listeners
wrote or telephoned about their threesome experiences, too.

The Book Authority, July
8, 2003
CT Comcast Cable Host and author, Brian Jud, insightfully
discussed the state of sexual non-fiction and the range
of sexual threes in this book show with Barbara Foster,
author, Three in Love, and Crystal.
Naked New York with Bob
Berkowitz 5/8/03
NY likes threesomes! III made an encore appearance on the
show. This time our photographer Nicole
DeGeorge talks about what it's
like to be both a model and a photographer in her own work.
Her first NY group show, Seven, opens May 10 at Radio
Perfecto, and continues throughout
the month of June.
Naked New York with Bob
Berkowitz 3/27/03
This highly rated nightly NY cable
show (Metro City) entertains and explores the cutting-edge
of sexy. Hosts Bob Berkowitz and Donna Barnes asked Crystal
about the growing prevalence of threesome encounters in
mainstream America (and what her unplanned threesome encouter
was like). Crystal spoke about the range of of our 14 writer's
encounters, what it's like to model naked with 7 other nude
people on a roof top, and why she's ever so strict about
the difference between menage a trois and threesomes. Works
by 3 of our photographers Philip
Isaiah Katz, Scott
Miller,and Nicole
DeGeorge had their premiere television appearance, too.
And Danny
the Wonder Pony, one of the other guests, gave a bunch
of us a ride after the show.

We're just getting started again
with publicity, but some great

Hustler; Dec. 2006 (in newsstands starting Sept. 19)
“How to Get Your Girl to Do a Threesome” . Sure, the text and slant was “Hustlerize-edited” for their audience, but they did a classy promotion of the book and attractive presentation of Philip Isaiah Katz’ images. So, how do you get your woman (or man) to do a threesome? Honestly discover and pleasure whatever THEIR secret fantasies are first. Even if you don’t fully succeed, think of all the enjoyment and trust you’ll both have had through the exploration. Check out the article itself and e-mail Crystal what you think.
